Klippan - A centre for transportation and logistics
With 1,200 active companies of different sizes and from different sectors of the economy, Klippan municipality has a long entrepreneurial tradition that continues to grow.
One of Sweden's most exciting business parks, Ljungbyhed Park AB, is situated near the old airport in Ljungbyhed. The visitor and tourism industry is also rowing steadily in the "green municipality", especially in the context of Söderåsen's National Park.
The municipality offers well-planned industrial and residential land, and with its geographical location and good access to road and rail networks, the municipality has become a centre for transportation and logistics.
The municipality includes a civil aviation Academy, TFHS, which is a part of Lund University, one of the few universities in Europe offering aviation training.
Among the biggest companies are the logistics companies, DHL, Bill's Car and Nils Hansson Logistics AB. Today there are about 16,600 people living in Klippan municipality.
